Hah, Day 2-4!

by admin on October 5th, 2007

I’m still running hot. Not as hot as day one, but hot enough, and after four days I’ve managed to play 1800 hands, which is a boat load for me, but puts me quite a bit shy of my target average of 750 a day. But even if it’s short of the average, it’s expected; I had intended to try to make up for a bit of it at weekends since the week days have me busy at work.

Anyway, 1800 hands so far in October, and I’m average over 7BB/100 which is, honestly, not sustainable. And this is DESPITE losing some really big pots with sets of aces and kings. I’ve been getting sickeningly good cards, and I’ve hit a huge number of draws. The other people at my tables must hate me.

But if impopularity is the price for luck, then sign me up for luck!

Gotta go, Heroes is starting now!

Hah, Day 1.

by admin on October 3rd, 2007

So October 1st, I managed to squeeze in 350 hands. I don’t know if Karma is trying to encourage me to follow through with my October push, but I averaged almost a dollar a hand throughout this small sample.

22.8 BB/100 is sustainable. Right? Right.

Anyway, I’m off to a good start. Now let’s see if I can squander it somehow - I’m sure it’s doable. The big problem with the plan in general is the fact that I will have to play an awful lot of hands, but if I can get a few solid hours in on the weekends, it should be doable.
